Portsmouth CCG AGM
14 September 2017

A top GP will review the last year’s achievements of the organisation which plans and commissions health services for Portsmouth next week.

Chief Clinical Officer Dr Linda Collie will also look ahead to the future of health and care in the city during her presentation at the annual meeting of NHS Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group.

The AGM is being held from 4pm-5pm on Wednesday September 20, in Conference Room A, on the 2nd floor of the Civic Offices in Guildhall Square, and is a meeting open to the public, who are welcome to attend.

It is being preceded in the same venue at 1pm by the Primary Care Commissioning Committee, and from 3pm-4pm by a meeting of the CCG’s governing body.

In her review of the year, Dr Collie will highlight CCG achievements which have included extending the GP visiting service for patients who might otherwise need hospital care.

She will also talk about the ‘priority’ need to improve urgent care arrangements for patients, and other areas of health in which more needs to be done, such as NHS waiting targets.

The CCG, in partnership with other health and public sector organisations, is working towards having a “single health and care system for the city,” including the delivery, planning, commissioning and managing of these services.
