Portsmouth and South East Hampshire System Operational Resilience and Capacity Plan

Partners in the Portsmouth and south east Hampshire health and social care system have a resilience plan to work together to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes by establishing partnerships and better working relationships.

A 'System Resilience Group' - the SRG - monitors and scrutinises this work by developing operational resilience and capacity plans.

The membership of the System Resilience Group includes senior representation from:

  • Fareham and Gosport, Portsmouth and South Eastern Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Groups
  • South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS), which provides the 999 emergency and NHS 111 phone advice services
  • Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Queen Alexandra Hospital
  • Solent NHS Trust
  • Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust
  • Hampshire County Council
  • Portsmouth City Council
  • Care UK, which providers of the local Out of Hours service and the Minor Injuries Unit and walk-in centres at Portsmouth.

SRG members hold each other to account for actions resulting from internal review, with member organisations sharing intelligence to improve system delivery against agreed key performance indicators.
